i call ryo by that name throughout the whole video rather than switching to “satan.” this was just for consistency.is it spelled zenon or xenon? the world may never know.i think it was this character in the manga that would later inspire miko, so i just went ahead and used that name. i decided it was reasonable to call her miko considering that she’s akira’s lieutenant during Amon: Apocalypse of Devilman. the female devilman that akira talks to isn’t named in the manga.
i used what i knew to try to sharpen up tinbot’s translation and make sure i synced up the video well. i DO NOT speak much japanese, i just know enough to get by.a number of fan translations are floating around, such as the one by tinbot ( here), which i referenced while making this video. this audio was released in Japan with the OVA voice actors (Shō Hayami as Akira and Yu Mizushima as Ryo) and covers the material of the fifth and final volume of the manga, but doesn’t seem to have an official english translation.Read more for translation notes & other stuff I made a video with the full translations for the drama cd so we can all suffer together.
